Do you have a pain in the glutes?
It’s not uncommon to feel pain where you sit. It’s especially true after sitting for long periods of time like at your work desk, binge watching your favorite show or overexertion while playing a sport. The glutes attach to the hips, pelvis, back and legs which explains why the pain is not just in the glutes when you have tension. When you stretch your glutes all the attachments benefit from that tension release. Many Yoga poses like downward-facing dog or the pigeon pose or the seated pigeon are great ways to stretch the glutes. Better yet how about treating yourself to a stretch massage and let your therapist do the work!
